There seems to be a strange contradiction these days.
People say they want more manufacturing.
More craftsmanship.
More products made with care.
But the moment you show them what manufacturing actually looks like, they often turn away.
Factories aren't glamorous.
They're noisy.
They're imperfect.
They're human.
But that's exactly why I love them.
A few years ago, I knew almost nothing about manufacturing.
Today, some of my favorite moments involve standing on factory floors, reviewing materials, and watching products come together piece by piece.
Not because I'm obsessed with factories.
Because I'm obsessed with making things.
There's something deeply satisfying about taking an idea that only exists in your head and turning it into something real.
Something you can hold.
Use.
Wear.
Keep.
It's one of the reasons I've always preferred trading cards to NFTs.
One exists on a screen.
The other exists in your hands.
One can disappear.
The other gets worn, scratched, collected, and passed along.
It develops a story.
And maybe that's what we're really trying to build at dadafunk.
Not products.
Stories that happen to take physical form.
Golf gloves.
Hats.
Trading cards.
Whatever comes next.
The products will change.
The obsession won't.
We just like making things.
And in a world increasingly moving toward the virtual, that feels more important than ever.
